Nature 4 Health aims to help people connect with non human nature, each other and themselves. Experience the mindful benefits of green and blue space and the fascinating species we share the planet with. We all have mental and physical health and the benefits of social interaction are many. Our sessions help people to define what staying well or being happy means for them and how to work towards that.
Within this project, N4H looks forward to sharing understandings, experiences and skills in the outdoors that will help to build resilience for young people. Fostering an awareness and appreciation of the healing powers of wild engagement. Nature connection, games, experiences and socialising with lots of alfresco food!

Ewen's Room is a local charity in Lochaber with the aim to provide early intervention and community mental health support to children, young people and adults. We work with communities, businesses and schools through hands on and play based wellbeing courses, counselling and creative therapies, community workshops and Open Doors sessions.
As part of the Healthy Young Minds project, Ewen's Room will be working with young people in creative workshops to explore the benefits of the outdoors for mental health and wellbeing. We are looking forward to working with our groups and seeing how they shape the ongoing project.

Trees for Life is a rewilding charity that aspires to putting people at the heart of restoring nature - for the land itself, for communities and for individuals' wellbeing. The Rewilding Centre at Dundreggan is looking forward to connecting with the Healthy Young Minds project and exploring how we can all deepen our relationship with nature.
Think Health Think Nature is one of four initiatives in Scotland stemming from Our Natural Health Service which aims to show how Scotland’s natural environment is a resource that can be used to help tackle some of our key health issues. The partnership meets quarterly and is chaired by the Head of Health Improvement within the NHS Highland Public Health Team.
Our vision is that ‘By 2030, the natural environment will be valued as essential for the health & wellbeing of the people of Highland. We will work together to support individuals and communities to connect with and enjoy nature, while safeguarding our natural spaces and promoting inclusion’
More information can be found here.
The partnership is happy to provide support in the form of advice and drawing on the resources, experience and expertise of the partnership to assist with project delivery. Through partnership newsletters, website and socials the partnership can help to promote aspects of the project to their relevant audiences. The mental wellbeing of young people has been identified by the partnership as a priority area of focus and the particular challenges around this in rural areas.
Forthcoming as the project progresses.
