About the project

HYM is a collaboration between researchers at the University of South Wales, the University of the Highlands and Islands and Dundee University. It was developed in partnership with CAMHS (NHS Highland), Ewen’s Room and Kinlochlovin’. The project is supported by Trees for Life and the Highland Green Health Partnership.

HYM is an early intervention programme co-produced with high school students living in remote and rural parts of Highland. The programme aims to promote mental well-being, increase resilience and reduce anxiety through engagement with nature and local greenspaces.

This website provides general information to anyone involved in the project, from participants and their families and the wider public to policy-makers, health practitioners, educational professionals and academics.

The project is funded by the Medical Research Council (Grant Ref: MR/Z503599)
